Resurrection Benefits

1 Cor 15:20
”But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead”

1 Cor 15:17
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

The Resurrected Jesus:
1. Secures my Salvation

Romans 1:4
“… declared to be the Son of God with power According to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead “

Romans 5:9-10
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The Resurrected Jesus:
2. Guarantees my Eternity

1 Cor 15:20-21
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

1 Cor 15:55-57
55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Resurrected Jesus:
3. Empowers my Life

John 14:16-17
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Romans 8:11
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

John 10:10b
Jesus said “I have come that you may have life and have it to the full”

Phil 3:10
10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death
